God With Us

December 16, 2018

ARE YOU READY AND WILLING?

John 1:13-14

SO THE WORD BECAME HUMAN AND MADE HIS HOME AMONG US.

He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

Luke 1:18

Zechariah said to the angel, “How can I be sure this will happen? I’m an old man now, and my wife is also well along in years.”

Luke 1:6

Zechariah and Elizabeth were righteous in God’s eyes, careful to obey all of the Lord’s commandments and regulations.

Luke 1:28

Gabriel appeared to her and said, “Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!” Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean.

THEY WERE ___________ BUT NOT _______________

Luke 1:38 is a great prayer:

Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.” And then the angel left her.

Luke 3:1-3 and 21-22

It was now the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius …

At this time a message from God came to John son of Zechariah, who was living in the wilderness. Then John went from place to place on both sides of the Jordan River, preaching that people should be baptized to show that they had repented of their sins and turned to God to be forgiven.

21 One day when the crowds were being baptized, Jesus himself was baptized. As he was praying, the heavens opened, and the Holy Spirit, in bodily form, descended on him like a dove. And a voice from heaven said, “You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.”

“God With Us”

requires that we be “READY AND WILLING” to be with Him.

John 1:13-14

SO THE WORD BECAME HUMAN AND MADE HIS HOME AMONG US.

He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
